He was born on January 22, 1955 in Zgierz. Studies in 1975-1980 at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. Diploma with honors in 1980 in the Intaglio Technique Laboratory under the supervision of prof. Leszek Rózga and at the Painting Studio of prof. Stanisław Fijałkowski. He was employed on the 4th year of studies as an assistant at home University. He currently works at the Academy of Fine Arts named after Władysław Strzemiński in Łódź as a Full Professor.
He creates graphics, paintings, drawings and sculptures as well as graphic design. For 20 years he has been fascinated by the possibilities of digital graphics.
He took part in many group and individual exhibitions in Europe, the United States, Australia, South America and Asia. In the years 2005-2008 and 2008-2012 he was the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
